The course aims to encourage students, slightly removing them from the traditional architectural scale and functionality, to formulate and express abstract ideas and thoughts and, most importantly statements, using the architectural tools and language they have already acquired. The task is to associate an abstract idea, a utopia, with a carefully chosen specific space or location and to study the interaction and fusion of the two during the semester. By the end of the semester, designs, installations and artworks will be created that reflect both on the theoretical background of the course and the chosen space and location. During the course, students start to design in teams, which also results in a change of scale compared to the objects planned during the BA course: the design task becomes more sophisticated, both in terms of theoretical complexity and structure.
