In the first semester, we worked on alternative spatial representation in the course of Space 1-2 exercises. In the first part of the exercise, the focus was on mapping, and the photographic processing of space.
In my images, I interpret the relations of real space by connecting different spaces and creating a non-existent point of view. My goal was to create an alternative space that allows for the birth of a new spatial experience. I created subjective space not by rearranging spatial details, but by using light. By varying the position, direction and intensity of the light source, a new, unreal space was created while the camera remained spatially immobile. A space I was present in, but also weren’t. For me, this duality was the most exciting part of the exercise.
