Habilitation Lecture - Balázs Vargha Graphic Designer

The Doctoral School of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design cordially invites you to the habilitation lecture of Ferenczy Award-winning graphic designer Balázs Vargha, an associate professor and head of the MOME Graphic Design BA programme.

Lectures to be presented at the habilitation event:

11:00 to 11:45: Public professional colloquium - Career profile as a designer, creator and teacher

After the presentation, committee members and the audience can ask questions and the committee will evaluate in a closed session. After a successful outcome, the event will continue with a habilitation lecture on the same platform.

12:15 to 13:15: educational lecture (including a summary in English)

Opportunity and Responsibility – The Social Role of Visual Design

A key element of the contemporary role of design is the realisation that it is one of the active and progressive activities capable of addressing even global issues in a meaningful and constructive way. The resulting responsibility is one of the most current and important fields in practicing and teaching this profession.

The lecture will be followed by a Q&A and comment session and the event will conclude with the committee evaluation.
