Application information for BA programs

By 1 February 2022: Publication of the mandatory assignment submissions required for the first round of the aptitude testfor the applicable BAs on the university’s website, as well as the dates of the second round of the aptitude test for the applicable BAs.

By 1 February 2022: Publication of content and format requirements for the electronic upload of the introduction/presentation application material on the university’s website.

1 to 16 March 2022: First round of the aptitude test/practical exam for all BAs: electronic portfolio upload.

19 to 22 April 2022: Second round of the aptitude test for the Animation, Architecture, Photography, and Graphic Design BAs.

4 to 8 July 2022: Practical entrance examination (third round) for all BAs.

Depending on the course of the pandemic over time, the university reserves the right to change the period of the entrance examinations, as well as the sequence, content and delivery method of assignments. Any such change will be publishedo on the university’s website.

The second round of the aptitude test is open only to candidates who have passed the first round (pre-screening). Only those who have passed the two rounds of the aptitude test can take the professional practical exam (third round). There is no aptitude test for the Art and Design Theory BA; however, the practical exam consists of two rounds. Only 28 applicants with the highest score from the first round can sit the second round.

The maximum score for the practical exam is 200. The total entrance examination score is calculated by doubling the score received at the practical exam. No scores based on high school marks/school leaving exam marks or special additional scores can be applied in this process.

In line with the publication “Higher Education Admission Information - Programmes starting in September 2022” published on the website of the higher education admission process at http://www.felvi.hu/, the dates and requirements of the entrance examination by round, as well as all details of the examinations are available here, on the MOME website, and some information may be updated at a later time previously specified on the website.

Please note that during the application process, no written notice of the dates or other requirements of the aptitude test and practical examins will be sent, and applicants will only be informed through the MOME website.

An additional special procedural fee of HUF 4,000 per application will be charged to cover the costs of organising and conducting the aptitude test for the BA programmes and the practical exam for the Art and Design Theory BA. The proof of payment of the special procedural fee must be electronically uploaded as part of the presentation application material. The method of payment is specified by a Chancellor's order, which will be published on the university's website by 1 February 2022. In the event of failure to make payment or provide proof of payment, the applicant may not take the entrance test/exam for the relevant programme.

Our programmes are available both in a self-funded and state-funded form. For the academic year 2022/2023, the tuition fee for our self-funded BA programmes is HUF 800,000 per semester, except for the Art and Design Theory BA, which costs HUF 500,000 per semester.
