With the support of the Innovation Center and in connection to specific market-based commissions MOME undertakes the task of implementing the creative view and thinking that the community of our university professionals represent, care for and develop. Projects may include the creation of free concepts, specific design tasks and even the realization or manufacturing the product. These projects can be implemented by involving individual, multidisciplinary design teams integrating students, teachers, alumni and external experts. Besides quality and efficiency, integrating fresh perspectives offered by the generation of young designers and deepening their practical knowledge will be given special emphasis within a carefully set up legal and financial framework.
The MOME Innovation Center can take part in market-based projects:
/// by offering solutions for individual and creative contents,
/// by involving students and special expert groups,
/// by treating the full design process in a complex way,
/// by following the process into the production and implementation phase.
Project and Production Office
The goal of the activities at the MOME Project and Production Office is a high level regulated project work as well as creating, establishing and supporting the collaboration culture and practice between the market and the professional experts. Our goal concerns the implementation and operation of specific university projects and organizational development tasks. While being part of the Innovation Center the professional activities of the office will be operated in collaboration with the academic sphere and other professional units at MOME.
The most frequent collaboration types are those by which the market directly addresses the university. The university sets up individual solution frames and project teams to implement the task and in this framework it complies with the commission as a market player. In these projects the university relies primarily on professional resources of students, teachers and MOME alumni.
Listed content of the commissions:
/// concepts: sketching individual, generational or “out of the box” solutions, future concepts, sensitivizing and explanatory materials
/// design commissions: a specific assignment to implement a specific design/execution task. When needed we work on the process with the greatest care from the building up the concept to constructing a manufacturing layout and we can also follow the process into the manufacturing phase.
/// execution: in case we are in possession of the professional competence required, the university undertakes manufacturing processes as well but it may also involve the professional sector and may delegate the work to sub-contractors.
